epic 4g won't send pictures via text

my wife just got a Sprint Epic 4g and is using it on Ting, which uses Sprint towers. She cant get it to send pictures via text. She can send pics via email, can send pics to facebook, can text, can receive photos by text, but can't send a photo via text. When she tries to send, it just says "sending" for a long time (sometimes a couple hours) then it says "failed".

She updated firmware, prl's, profile and mms. She's been on the phone with Ting for an hour and they couldn't figure it out.

Any ideas? Is there maybe an app that we could use as a workaround?

Did a factory reset and reloaded all the Ting stuff and now it works!
