can someone tell me where the setting is to turn on and off the red light display when you have a message. thanks

lol, if its a email then its in email app and if its a text its in text app. open gmail/settings(bottom left hard key)/more/ look way down page for texts open app up/left hard key/settings/look way down again for notifications.
