Not Getting Voice Command to Work

I have midNIGHT ROM 5.2 Everything seems to work great except I cannot get the Voice Command to to work (i.e. pressing button on BT earpiece and being able to say " Call John Smith" and have it call that person from your contacts without having to look at the phone). It worked once when I flashed midNIGHT ROM 3.5, but not 4.2, and not 5.2 even though I would think it would with all the development that has been done. Any suggestions?

I tried Vlingo, but its voice recognition was real bad and I still needed to look at the phone too much. Is Voice search the same thing? It searches the web before it looks at my contacts. That really sucks.

maybe the chef of that rom removed and replaced it in his/her latest version if that rom. did u install anything after flashing that could have broke it?

Nope. I check right after loading the ROM. It didn't work.

I see in the EC05 update this was done:

5)Voice Dialer updated with fix (Thanks Dameon)

That might have something to do with it :/

Did it work on stock EC05 though?

I only used the EC05 available through Rob's Android development site. So I don't think I ever installed the stock. I installed the version that was available before it became part of the version 5.2 BYOR. Any suggestion?

I misplaced my bluetooth headset so kinda hard for me to test without finding it..:/..(is moving this week so things are a mess)

you can either odin back to stock and test it, get someone else to try it, or see if you can just replace the voice dialer in your current one with the old one.

Figured it out, I hope. I flashed the voice dialer zip file in the Extras folder.Tried it once and it worked. It is now perfect. Thanks.
