There is a bug in the VisionKernel 1.2 which caused people to brick..its quite funny actually..I was fine until I saw a thread that posted about the kernel bricking..so I panicked (as I have been having issues with the kernel before) and went to shut down the phone properly via the shutdown menu....big mistake as thats what caused the brick....lol

So goes to show..if things work...dont panic...get information....then proceed to remedy it.

great advice, especially when dealing with these devices and other areas of life as well.

I'm gonna try and hold off before I hard reset/wipe data. I'm just not feeling the idea of redoing everything, not after I have it like I want it

I'm gonna make current backups right now though just in case it comes to that.

I went ahead and wiped data/factory reset 3x, wipe partition cache 2x, then redid the rom.....and now rotation is BACK. Restoring data was pretty easy as well, thanks to clockworkmod.

The only issue I have now is that my swype is gone.

Well, I found the problem for me at least. I ran the horizontal calibrate function and it stopped my screen rotation, again. I remember running it before when I had just flashed the midnightrom the first time. So maybe this is a bug that the developer can fix.

I ran it this time so that I could fix the rotation lag. To my surprise rotation stopped all together.
