Hey Climb, how did you uninstall superuser? I installed it back when also. It's listed in my apps but the uninstall button is grayed and not responsive. Just in case it wasn't a coincidence, I'd like to get rid of it too. I haven't been rooted since EB14. I was waiting for a final 2.2.

I've got all the stock apps back on. But no OTA showing up.

Re: My Epic won't update to 2.2 - help?

I think I am in teh same boat. I am running DI18, Firmware 2.1-update1, and Kernel 2.6.29. I got the notifications but the phone never updated. Checking for android updates just says I am up to date. I did root & install superuser so that I could use wireless tether. Is that the cause? Should I just do a manual update from the direct download?

Yes, just use the EB13 tool to go to EB13 and then do the update.zip from EB13 to EC05...

Remember to backup your data as it will get wiped after using the tool..

Re: My Epic won't update to 2.2 - help?

Suck - if I am going to have to wipe all my data and reinstall all my progs, I might as well load a custom rom. That's all that is keeping me from switching. I just don't have the time to mess with it or risk unreliability right now, so I was going to just do the OTA update. Isn't there any way I can force the OTA or Direct download to work without having to backup and reinstall? Thanks for your help, regardless!

If you are on DI18 or EB13 then yes just grab a upgrade.zip and execute it in recovery...if you are rooted and some apps removed though then it wont work.
