Uodate to froyo or wait for custom roms?

Currently I am running a 2.1 custom rom. I am trying to decide if I should wait for the new froyo roms or go back to stock and update with the official froyo? What do you think? Also any idea when the new roms with froyo will be coming out?

I'm thinking the custom roms will really start hitting tomorrow. The stock EB13 rom is pretty nice, and will only be made better when the cooks get theirs out. I myself installed it and rooted.

I've read a lot of good reviews of the stock EB13, but I am going to wait for midNIGHT 4.0.

Re: Uodate to froyo or wait for custom roms?

Your going to have to load up the new modem anyways..I say upgrade and compare the difference..its always good to experience stock so that you can see how much benefit a custom rom gives...

Re: Uodate to froyo or wait for custom roms?

In that case, how do I go about re-locking my phone and installing the modem? Also what is the best Kernel out right now?

why do you need to relock? update will remove root and you need more than modem. its a "all in one" update and not many kernels out but im on overclocked one and its sweet.

Oh I didnt realize that all I had to do to update was run the ota update. I thought that it was like windows mobile where you have to re-lock your phone before going stock.

just do the update manually and that way no need to be stock or replace all apps/bloatware you may have removed. use the "tool" on bottom of page.
