if you can download it on your pc or via wifi and itll be faster/more stable then do that..(its 91mb)..but yes, once its downloaded move it to the root of oyur sd card and go into recovery to load it up..exactly same as OTA..

better to dlzip on pc then push it to sdcard then use recovery.

Never got the OTA.

But I just ran the update.zip.

It was easy. It was fun. Everything works. Or seems to so far. And all my apps showed up exactly where I left them.
It killed my root but z4root zapped it right back.
Now I've just got to remove all those stock apps I had to reinstall and any other crapware that showed up. I'm looking forward to whatever the new flash capabilities are for TV streaming... and the other new and improved stuff.

Did it maually yesterday. Worked great and was easy just as described. Also rooted and strted wireless tethering which is pretty fast! Thanks for all the help guys

day 3 and sprint still doesnt think i need this update i guess. if i hate half the stock apps anyway, is is even worth updating. wont i still have to root to get rid of the stock apps i hate?

it is well worth it and will fix your "abc.com" tv issues. use the "sammy tool" which is option 3 or option 2 works fine from whatever your on now, no need to replace anything.

hey darren not understanding what you mean. are you saying the new update is worth it or to root and flash is worth it?
