Bricked my phone... I know it can't be done, but please HELP!
When trying to update midnights rom from 2.6 to 2.9 I bricked my phone. I am stuck on the samsung screen when I turn on my phone. I used odin to go back to stock dk28 with no success (still hangs on samsung screen). Also, I tried to to flash DI18 stock in hopes that would work. I'm not sure what else to try, please help!!!

Additional info: I can't enter recovery. I can enter downloading mode (by holding 1 and powering up). When the power is off and I plug the phone into the charger it doesn't seem to be charging + unable to power up while the phone is plugged into charger.

use this How To: Update Sprint Epic 4G to Android 2.2 - BriefMobile use the tar and that version of odin. power off phone goto download mode/start odin/plug in usb/run the tar. your not bricked though.

Hmmmm tried it on windows xp instead of windows 7 and it seemed to do the trick. Not sure whats up with that. Thanks a lot for the help.

Yup, it took me forever to to get the driver right on my Win7 laptop, and they worked right away on my Win7 desktop.

but if someone really did brick there phone.. just go to sprint nd get a replacement device, no charge, just dont tell them u bricked it because u tried to mod it. half of the reps wouldn't know whats wrong and would just order you a replacement, besides me.
