How to use google voice to make calls?

Can anyone give me instructions on how to use google voice to make calls from my new epic? Is there a special app? I don't want to always use my anytime minutes to make calls to land lines.

install google voice, make phone call, select google voice.

I use google voice callback app. It actually uses your gv#

i just set gv to ask if i wanna use it or not for each call.

I have the Free Sprint to Home on my plan(set to my Google Voice number)which gives me 1 number that I don't get charged minutes to call or receive calls from.

Unless you have the Sprint to Home, or Pick 3/Pick 5, on your plan, then Google Voice is not going to save you minutes! Do you have one of these options on your plan?

I set up gv at my radio station so that people can click on a link from the on-air computer and call me, but it actually makes a connection from the station # to my cellphone. that is when I realized it didn't same me any minutes.

I've never used GV but I thought (being Google and all) that you can set it up to make calls over wifi. I have been considering installing it because I have wif i at home and at work. So, am I wrong? Can it make calls over wifi and avoid using your minutes?
