No 4G Connectivity in my office?

Hey, all

I've been having this persistent problem with my Epic 4G, where I get a full strength 4G indicator, and almost full voice bars but no traffic will pass over 4G.

I am in the middle of downtown Seattle, in an area that should get 4G inside my building according to coverage maps. If I'm in my office (which is 2nd story, right by the window) or anywhere around my building, even outdoors out front or in the courtyard, no traffic will pass through 4G. I get an IP address, and I've even done the ping test from *#INFO*1111#, but it fails. My 3G works just fine, and voice works.

Here's the kicker: If I go as little as two blocks away, the 4G works just fine, and I get 12-18mbits according to speed test. My 4G works everywhere EXCEPT in the vicinity of my office!

I've tried flashing back to stock with no relief. I've been on the phone with Sprint, and they cannot identify the problem and have opened several trouble tickets about this issue.

This is driving me nuts! Any ideas?

Does anyone else have a 4g phone in your office? it might be an issue with the tower in that area..it may also be something interfering with the signal, so while you have full bars you have 100% packetloss

Yeah, one of our office ladies has an Evo, but she says she never turned on the 4G because it drains the battery too fast.

Unfortunately, she's out on maternity leave, so I can't really borrow it to test :/

Re: No 4G Connectivity in my office?

The place where my husband works has a 4G tower on top of the building, and he can't get service on his Evo.
