most current epic 4g build number

havent been on this forum in a while. iv been a little behind on the phone. iv been reading, and looks like froyo is comming out soon.

i know before i had trouble updating the build number.

so right now i have di18. is that the most current?

some people have dk28

DI18 Eclair is the most current "official" build. DK28 Froyo is the most current "unofficial" build, but can be installed without rooting.

I wouldn't recommend flashing the stock release of DK28. Its full of bugs. So many in fact that Sprint issued a press release telling people not to use it. If you do want to bring yourself up to the current build make sure you root and use one of the custom ROMs. They are working great.

Aren't there different versions of DK28 though? Or are there unofficial versions using that as a core and modifying other files? I wouldn't think that Sprint would use the DK28 numbering scheme over again if they had to patch something and send it back to Samsung, but I remember people saying that there are newer versions of DK28 out there. so I'm lost as to what DK28 actually means.

Clarification anyone??

official dk28 blows if your talking the stock one that sprint says not to use, best way to use dk28 is root and flash a custom dk28 rom cause there almost bug free plus you get some nexus and gingerbread goodies cooked in.

my official DK28 worked awesome. so awesome... for a couple days. now my phone is slow, laggy, and bugging the f out. I want someone to give me a clockwork restore so I can flash it to some custom dk28 without odin.

You can just flash it to a custom DK28 as is if you already have DK28 stock installed...though overall I've been using stock DK28 with no issues, but I flashed odin to DI18 then update.zip to DK28th

im ****en confused lol..

heres what i did yesterday, i got bored and wanted to do something so. i one clicked rooted from 1 of the stickies. then i flashed dk28 odin modem. then installed midnight rom 2.0.7.

so is that dk28, the one sprint said its to buggy?? its working ok. alittle slow when rotating the screen.
