no luck with the update for the DG17 to DI18.. I get the following error:
"# MANUAL MODE # --Install from sdcard... Finding update package... opening update package... verifying update package... Installing update... assert failed : file_getprop("/system/build.prop" , " ro.build.fingerprint") == "sprint/SPH-D700/SP H-D700/SPH-D700:2.1-update1/ECLAIR/DI07:user/rel ease-keys" || file_getprop("/system/build. prop"' ro.build.fingerprint" == "sprint/SPH-D7 00/SPH-D700/SPH-D700:2.1-update1/ECLAIR/DI18:use r/release-keys" E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip (status 7)" I may have no choice but to root or ODIN.... Just nervous since I cant get anything going in USB Debug mode.... Thanks

Put phone in download mode (power off, hold 1 on keyboard and power on.)
Flash this rom forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853209 Using odin, very easy. I'm on the older dk17 and it's working great. Sent from my Epic 3G on SERO.
