Re: Official Android 2.2 (Froyo) update emerges for Sprint's Epic 4G

Sooo i accidentally uninstalled some sort of samsung media extension and i kept getting forced close errors while trying to back it up before deleting it.. is there any way to get it back? it doesnt show in the list of backed up files.. but everything else does.. what are my options as far as reinstalling the rom over-top of it? i unfortunately didnt make a backup till after this happened.. now i cant change ring tones or hear incoming text alerts.. any help would be awesome!

My GPS was dead the first time I flashed it. I flashed back to Stock DK18, and GPS was still dead. Flashed the DK17 from that thread again, and now my GPS gets an instant LOCK

Not sure why, maybe something got fixed with the multiple wiping? Now I'm hesitant to flash the newer DK28 version in fear of losing GPS again. Plus My Epic is running Flawless!!
I flashed back to Di18 this morning and my GPS is working again. Indoors not so much (as expected) but outdoors it locks in a few seconds. Now I'm debating whether to try the update again or wait for the real OTA.

Your link is mighty tempting though.

Ok, I have to install this one my wife's phone tonight. But I wondering will she loose all her data, games and etc..? She will have a fit, if she looses her Angry Birds levels. lol

She will. Backup her Angry Birds data and contacts and such before doing the install.

Re: Official Android 2.2 (Froyo) update emerges for Sprint's Epic 4G

ok... my phone really doesn't like froyo, I guess. it's now bricked. the "update.zip" thing seemed to work fine, but now it's stuck at the SAMSUNG logo. anyone want to give me steps to get my phone back? I backed up with clockwork (which is now gone if I go into system recovery). I also backed up everything with titanium.

clearing to factory defaults did nothing.
