yup...same thing on mine. also, I cannot set an alarm via the new clock app...it just says ..."process.com.sec.android.clockpackage as stopped unexpectedly"...

however, gps works like a charm and locks fast!
I just did a data wipe and it fixed the issues with the sd card. camera, gallery, etc all work normal now.

Official Android 2.2 (Froyo) update emerges for Sprint's Epic 4G

By Darren Murph posted Dec 4th 2010 at 9:01PM

Samsung may have missed its promised September (and November) ship dates for Froyo on the Galaxy S range, but at this point, we're just pleased to see any progress at all. Sprint's Epic 4G has just become the first US Galaxy S phone to nab an official Android 2.2 (v2.2.1, in fact) build, with the requisite files populating Google's servers this evening. If you'll recall, a near-final build actually leaked out around three weeks ago, but the DK28 version making the rounds at xda-developers looks to be the real deal. Head on over to get your update going, and be sure to let us know how everything turns out in comments below.

Quick question is it required that you install this rom directly from stock di18?
I'm on dj29 right now... With dk17 modem.

Edit: I was able to download di18 to dk28 zip since the link is working. I'm not making an issue here. Just want the leaked rom instead of the official one. I'm assuming this is the latest of dk28... Anyone?

My GPS was dead the first time I flashed it. I flashed back to Stock DK18, and GPS was still dead. Flashed the DK17 from that thread again, and now my GPS gets an instant LOCK

Not sure why, maybe something got fixed with the multiple wiping? Now I'm hesitant to flash the newer DK28 version in fear of losing GPS again. Plus My Epic is running Flawless!!
Finally found what I'm looking for... This has to be the latest? And it's already pre rooted I'm not using a pc today so this is the way to go? But what scares me is you had issues with gps. Did you wipe 3 times and wipe cache like you're supposed to? Also when you restore your data did you use advance to restore only data and sd ext?
Edit: as a general rule never restore the whole thing especially the system over a completely new rom!

You're not rooted. Try one click exploit

If you were rooted then you wouldn't have seen that message you just saw. you're supposed to be in clockwork. Not samsungs recovery.

Edit: I take it all back.. I meant try the clockwork mod flasher from the pc... there's try first and try last. If first one doesn't work out for u. Most likely the last one will... if that still didn't work out for u make sure that the proper drivers are installed for your phone then reboot your pc and try again... its either the exploit or the flasher. That's the best way.

Re: Official Android 2.2 (Froyo) update emerges for Sprint's Epic 4G

Okay, figured out the issue. I was rooted with the old one click that didn't include clockwork.
My issue is still that i am stuck in stock recovery. I take the battery out and it comes right back into recovery. I assume I'm going to need to odin back to stock.
