Galaxy Tab vs Epic 4G

So I went to the Sprint store and played with the Galaxy Tab. The size is unmanageable, but the one thing that it has over the Epic 4G are the buttons in the front. The buttons on the Epic 4G are pretty terrible. The response is so bad. The Galaxy Tab buttons were snappy as hell. I think that the DPI on the Galaxy Tab is less. all the icons look soo much bigger.

It is common with the epic 4g. The buttons especially the menu buttons weren't snappy at all. I'm talking to you on a 4th replacement phone.
Here's my reasons:

1 menu keys not registering
2 weak slider mechanism
3 accelerometer not working
4 motherboard burnt out. (this was my fault but because I was stupid when I accidentally plugged a 5 amp 12 vac charger into the usb.)

But other than that the phones been good to me in terms of usability. Just had way too many hardware failures 3 of which occurred in within the first 2 weeks of owning the phone. The 4th
Replacement occurred just day before thanksgiving. Thanks to my $ 7 insurance plan .

It is possible that you were demoing a faulty one at the store. In that case, Try a different one.

Re: Galaxy Tab vs Epic 4G

I was demoing a galaxy tab and it worked beautifully. What I have an issue with is the epic 4g buttons. The epic 4g that I was comparing it with is the one in my pocket. The one that has been in my pocket since 8/31. I was in the store to have my keyboard replaced.

I don't think I'll see anyone walling around with a tab anytime soon. Damn... How would you pocket it if you own one? In your book bag?
