Dude.. I don't need it... Di18 is flashing and booting up right now. it was PIT and PDA.. the whole time I was doing PIT and Phone.

That modem from DK05 leaked rom got me screwed up when as I did it with PIT and Phone.. somehow how I forgot to properly flash back as it should be PIT and PDA. Damn... grief...gone!

im glad it worked out for you. you said it worked before with that ext, so i didnt think it was really an issue. odin wont even show the file to select if its not right. its good to get that knowledge out there too. thats one less thing to have to trouble shoot on for the next guy. i was just pointing out that your file was named differently than mine.
what i really love about the epic is its basically unbrickable. i mean its freaking easy to handle most problems when we have tools like odin at our disposal.

wasnt my point though, just saying "thanx for the help" is good with me but i thanked austin cause he helped me with stuff and deserved them.

Coming from a Palm Pre device... my experience has helped me learn more about rooting.. and believe it was quiet different than what I'm doing here. I can't believe it so easy. I used a PC for most of my rooting for months to come until 8 months later we didn't need to be tied to a pc to patch up anymore.. With android on the other hand... pc to root a one time thing..then the rest of the time I'm using my phone to download a rom..rename the file and flash into clockwork.. that's a BIG difference compared to palm pre.

Now when I look at my palm pre after being accustomed to the Epic... due to screen size it's hurting my eyes already lol..

I 'Soft' Bricked my Epic tonight at work, and will be trying to recover it when I get home this morning. I tried to Odin the stock DK28 and it hung at factoryfs. Tried many more times using different usb ports/versions of Odin. Now the charge light does not come on when plugged in, I thought it was Toast.

I searched, and found, and the only way to get it in Download Mode is to Pull the Battery, Hold 1+Power and reinsert the battery!

I think Odin just doesn't work on certain PC's. I couldn't get it to work a few months ago on my Home Vista desktop either. I'm hoping my Trusty XP Laptop will come through for me when I get home in about 1 1/2 hours.

NO Luck! The Trusty Laptop(that I used to Odin dk17) and my desktop are giving me the USB Device not Recognized Popup.

Did I just turn my Epic into a Paperweight???
