I got mines to work.effing fast! Gets a lock in 3seconds! This member ay xda posted this. I did the steps on the 2nd instructions he posted at the bottom. A bit long but works. Love froyo now! Almost everything works. Only issue I hanger now is once in a while the unlock slider will freeze for 3 seconds. Then responds.

Re: Leaked beta gps.

I tried this part:

5: Finally boot 4.2. Go to the market and get "gps status & gps toolbox" combo app thats free.

6: Turn your gps on and launch the gps status app and under settings go to clear gps cache and redownload new data.

so yeah seems to make a BIG difference in lock speeds...

Yup, tried it all morning.wouldn't work no matter how many times I used the gps status clear cache. I had to do it ask from the start.

Yup. Clear like 10 time and redownloaded the data. Also restarted a few times to make sure its not because I'm not restarting.

Re: Leaked beta gps.

I still can't figure out what causes this issue. I took the stock 2.1 (out of the box DI1, used the 1 click root, CWM recovery 2.4.0, then flashed 2.2 leaked ROM (v4-1) from CW recovery. I lost no data, and have not had a single issue after I used CW to flash the v4-2 update. I had the typical blue tooth issue and the phone app in the TWlauncher drawer not working. I have had the GPS working from the start. I followed the Sprint Nav advice, byt running Sprint Nav, letting it get a lock then backing out and running whatever I want. I only use Google Maps, I can get it to lock within 1 meter at any time. It does have a tough time locking on indoors, but just walking a few feet off my porch gets it locked within like 15-20 seconds. I see most peeps who have the issue, flashed the stock ROM, then started the rest. This sux for those who have issues, I would think the devs. would be able to narrow this down already...

Hmmmmmmm.... Let me see. Iphone had a very beautiful phone but when you put the Iris next to super amoled, iris is dung. And the fact that Stevo don't let me do nothing with my iphone due to his hitler like grip on it. Guy won't even let me share my mp3 song to my friend. And the death grip? Frustrating! The proximity sensor? Useless. The gpu? For virgin on hummingbird. Steve... U make me sick as htc.
