Re: Moving contact from WinMo?
The easiest way to back up your contacts would be to sync with gmail using active-sync on the phone. This will back up your contacts and calendar, and a gmail account is pretty much required for your android device to work its full potential.
Here are the instructions per google. Setting Up Your Windows Mobile Phone for Google Sync : Google Sync - Google Mobile Help |

Re: Moving contact from WinMo?
I took it one step forward and backed up my texts (Efficasoft Mobile Express) and call history (callhstory.exe) and then wrote perl scripts to convert them into .xml
the xml is the same xml that these android tools read/write SMS Backup & Restore - Android Stuff Call Logs Backup & Restore - Android Stuff so then I was able to restore that data too. |

Re: Moving contact from WinMo?
gSync is probably the easiest if you can get the info off the WinMo device... I was having issues with this when I went from a TP2 to my current Epic... I ended up syncing to Outlook on my desktop, and then found a free program called Google Sync or something like that that syncs outlook and google calendar... once the stuff was in google calendar it was easy to move over to the new device... I found all the tools needed on google when I did it myself so I know it's out there... good luck, it's definitely possible, just might require a little elbow grease...
