Epic bluetooth not working as expected
Let me start by saying the Epic is my first android phone. All my previous phones have been Windows Mobile and they all worked in this fashion which was perfect for me.
So my issue:
On my previous phones I stream pandora/slacker/last.fm in my car via the headphone jack to the aux port on my car stereo. My car has bluetooth built in. If I made a call the phone would pause or just switch from whatever was playing to the phone, I could make my call over bluetooth and then when the call ended it would switch back to the streaming app. Same sort of events took place when receiving a call.
On the Epic with the same setup, it lets me start a call (dial a number or pick a number from the address book over bluetooth). I hear the first ring then silence, the call just disappears to lala land... I don't hear anything over bluetooth, I don't hear anything over the car stereo and I don't hear anything on the phone. If I unplug the headphone jack, the call magically appears on bluetooth. Haven't tested receiving calls but I'm going to assume it doesn't work either.
So question, is this a limitation of android? Is this a limitation with the Epic? Is there an app I can try that would possibly fix it? I tried with the stock rom and with epic experience rom (off xda forums). Bluetooth works in all cases if I don't have anything plugged into the headphone jack.
