I have not tried barnacle legacy yet...so far I tried Android-Wifi-Tether and MobileAP...

on Android-Wifi-Tether with 2 bars of 4g:

oh darn, I so wanted to swap my tp2 cuz my screen is cracked (still 98% readable), but those speeds aren't much of an upgrade for me.

lol.. exactly... but the point is, at least u can tether... and once we get 2.2 those speeds will be blown out the water!

I couldn't get barnacle legacy to work with 4g when I tried it...

Upgrade to the Epic! You won't be disappointed. And don't worry about the tether speeds right now. Its at least as fast as your TP2, and faster if you're in an area with 4G, so you won't lose anything there, and eventually either Sprint/Samsung or the community will get the speeds way up there. In the mean time you can spend countless hours playing with this phone and saying "Oooh" and "Ahhh" at how much faster, smoother and just overall better it is than the TP2. I tether my laptop all the time and honestly its fast enough for me. Of course, I'm not doing any online gaming, but once the 4G issues are fixed, you should be able to do even that.
