Hands Free is not hands free?

After searching all over the place I have found out that you can not initiate hands free calling on the Epic from a bluetooth devise. You must launch the app with your hands. I was told that this will be corrected with android 2.2. Does anyone know if this is true?

Re: Hands Free is not hands free?

Yes, it is true for all Android devices until 2.2

BTW, you can redial the last number dialed by double clicking most bluetooth headsets, also, if the bluetooth device maintains it's own phonebook (it can sync with the phone) you can initiate from that.

Not true. Headset, can only redail last number called. If device has its own phonebook or keypad, then the device can intiate a handsfee call (e.g. Carkit with voice dialing or a house phone with bluetooth work just fine).
