Desktop Visualizer will let you make widgets using any icon you want, in different sizes. It's free from the Market.

I still use the Old Beautiful Widget 2.36 that they pulled for looking too much like Sense on one of my Screens.

Just out of curiosity, is there actually ANY apk mentioned in here that is ONLY for the EPIC???

Android is very universal guys, most apps work on all devices.. obviously some apps need 2.2 VS 2.1 though..

This is the difference between the Market and AppBrain..
Market - Only North America(assuming your not one of our Foreign members), and apps it feels your phone supports
AppBrain - shows every app, regardless of device or location

Sorry but I think this thread is just people wanting to see more things in the EPIC forum... almost all android 2.1 apps works on almost all 2.1 devices... almost all 2.2 apps(FLASH aside) work on almost all 2.2 devices...

see what Im saying, you dont need to try to "Hoard" your findings in an EPIC Specific Forum... share and share alike fellas, isnt that what ANdroid is suppose to be all about?

Well..any TouchWiz based widget/application would be only for the Epic/Galaxy S devices unless on a ported rom..also the hulu flash modification for example is device specific...but overall yes..

does anyone have the app that show the clock in letter and the battery life in letters as well?

Is there any app to change the dock icons on stock 2.1?

What apps are epic exclusive only besides the ones already installed under samsung widgets?

Well if you use MobileAP thats TouchWiz based..

As for changing dock in 2.1...no app unless you either use launcher pro or Syndicate rom which is based on 2.1 with ported Touchwiz 3

They had to include an older TW cause it had issue with landscape mode..so they either had to delay the release or release an older TW...which they did..

We have 512mb ram physically in the phone..from what someone is guessing..128mb is dedicated to the GPU..

anyone know of a good speed dialer widget? Not a big fan of the "buddies now" widget. Would prefer one like the one on the TP2. Thanks in advance

Don't know if you found anything yet, but I use the paid version of Launcher Pro. I think the speed dialer, and all of the other features you get with the paid version are well worth the $5.

ClockR for the time, and battstatt for battery life in letters. Both free in the market! Tajm also for time, also free in market.

Launcher Pro will let you customize dock icons, but is a completely different home screen than touch wiz.

Sent from an Epic 3G on SERO.

Thanks Went with battstatt for battery and Tajm for time. I might give Launcher Pro a try i just dont like having to scroll down in the apps menu i prefer the way Touch wiz has it.
