I do have debugging enabled. Apparently it's failing to install the adb driver. Where can I typically find that driver to manually install it?

Re: Epic 4G One Click Root & ClockworkMod [RFS & EXT4]

64...I made sure I installed the correct drivers 'cuz that was my initial headache last night since most of the drivers my friend and I found were 32 bit.

We tried using a usb hub on my friend's laptop and it didn't make a difference. Right now I'm making more progress with my laptop anyhow. I was able to get it to install the usb drivers where I couldn't even get his to do that doing the same processes I did with mine with the corresponding drivers. I've tried using a usb hub with my laptop and my computer won't recognize the phone at all.

Is there any specific reason why sprint forced samsung to remove the epic from kies?

All drivers and whatnot are uninstalled now.

Awesome, got it up and running and rooted. I'm currently restoring all my previous data that I had backed up. So far so good. Thanks for all the help guys! I don't understand why my computer wouldn't have the adb stuff but flashing the roms seems to be a simpler process.

I don't have that many apps with data that I restored. So far everything's running smoothly without any issues. Thanks again for all the help <3

While frustrating, I had fun learning the process and will probably seek out more info on how to mod my phone more lol

Hi:
I am a moderate noob..... Just have a quick question. If I was to run this root will I still be able to contact Sprint to change my phone number without a problem AFTER I root the phone?

Thanks so much!
Blondie

yes, the only time you gotta flash it back is when you plan to give it to sprint in person. Otherwise sprint has no clue if your rooted or running a custom rom/kernel.
