Re: midNIGHT ROM DK28 (Froyo) v2.0.9 Pick your Poison 12/22/2010

First of all I like to say THANKS to the OP for sharing his work. and here is some my feedback... I like the first 3 original midnight theme builds 5 thru 7... my favorite was the dark glass notification bar and pull down and the nexus boot screen is sick. I love it! Until 2.0.9 went stock I wanted to get that dark glass notification bar back on. But refused to flash into the new midnight theme because 2 things:

1-I dont want the aosp lock
2-and I dont like the ugly battery icon and wish to use my own from XDA.

My goal here now is try to get the notification themed. that's it

So here's what I did: Using root explorer I tried to pull framework-res.apk from system/framework folder in 2.0.7 and saved it to my sdcard folder..

then wipe data and cache 3 times in Clock work before flashing 2.0.9, restored my data and everything else... the rom working seamlessly..

I tried to push framework-res.apk from 2.0.7 to replace the current one in 2.0.9.

Then I reboot... guess what! Nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

edit: maybe I'm missing something... do I have to replace a couple of images in the apk inside
\res\drawable-hdpi folder?

Thanks for the feedback. You could just use the midNIGHT v1 theme that is posted in the 2nd post. Also open the zip with 7zip and remove or delete the android policy.jar and that will kill the aosp lockscreen.
