Hmmmmm. interesting.

After restoring user data I re-installed ROM Manager. Then I went into Clockwork via ROM Manager to flash a battery mod, changed my mind and didn't flash anything, rebooted phone and it hung on the big yellow "4G" boot screen.......forever. Pulled the battery, went back into Clockwork and restored user data again (making it as if I had never installed ROM Manager) and everything works fine again.

It would appear that there is a major conflict with ROM Manager.

free version? im on paid and no issue with froyo also some apps wont work that did with 2.1 so make sure your apps are updated too.

Yes it's the free version, but I've been using the beta Froyo roms for a couple weeks. I'll try and install it again.

Wiped, reflashed the ROM and this time used Titanium instead of clockwork to restore data. Email works now, no FC.

OP put out 2 more updates last night. Here is the link to the latest one:

He must have been getting tired because he didn't rename them. Its still called "VIPERrom [TRiNiTY] DK28 3.0.zip" so you might want to rename it to 3.02 before clicking save.

Huge props to BThomas22x for working so hard last night working out the bugs that people were reporting. According to the xda thread there is some sort of problem with the AOSP lock screen so this latest update went back to the stock lock screen until he can get it fixed. Look for another update in the near future.

did you look at aosp? op said something spelled wrong?
