Re: new epic, looking for screen protector and tips

Buy a bunch of these....
http://www.amazon.com/PSP-Screen-Gua.../dp/B0007XOHYK

PSP screen protectors. They cost a few pennies each and cover the Galaxy screen from just below the camera on front to just above the samsung logo below the screen on the Sprint Epic.

Probably the cheapest way to have a nice smooth clean screen.

I wouldn't do that. I just went to the Sprint store and I almost bought a similar "universal" screen protector. I had the guy apply it and it looks like shit. That beautiful screen needs something that covers it prefectly. The screen protector the guy put on there looked like a big square of plastic in the middle of the screen and it just looked cheap and really took away from the beauty of the screen. I told the guy no thanks and made him take it off.

I did however buy the Sprint brand hard case with the rubberized coating. I was skeptical at first and had him take it out of the package so I could see what it looks like on the phone. Its surprisingly small and light and really looks nice. I can always take it back within 30 days if I don't like it, but so far I really like it.

Re: new epic, looking for screen protector and tips

Just a suggestion. No offense to those looking to save a buck or two. Remember it's still a good way to protect the screen while mulling over keeping or returning the device and a lot cheaper than a properly configured screen protector (which I never stated it would be)....

lol

Ok, in that case I guess you have a point. The ugly ass screen protector the Sprint guy wanted me to buy was almost $10.00!

Re: new epic, looking for screen protector and tips

Well, I'm surprised nobody suggested these: http://www.boxwave.com/products/clea...brant_4002.htm

They are the best protectors I've ever used, I went through a few of them with my TP2. I know some people (very few) think they have a "Rubbery" texture, but that's the only complaint I've ever heard about Boxwave screen protectors.

My question to you guys is this: I didn't see the Samsung Epic 4G Galaxy S Series listed on Boxwave's website, would the Samsung Vibrant be the same dimensions?

Oh, and I'm with ksfoster on the case, I think I purchased the same (two piece) hard rubber shell from Sprint. I really like it so far and it fits absolutely perfect. The only ding is there isn't a belt clip that goes with it that I'm aware of?

Re: new epic, looking for screen protector and tips

I ordered one of these...

http://www.stealthguards.com/index.p...rotection.html

I mean free + $2 shipping for full body...I'm not expecting anything good for that price but I figure to give it a shot for only $2...once I get it I'll post on how crappy/if its any good and etc..

------------------------------------------

Its crap...in itself it is ok but it was NOT MEANT for super amoled..seems like for super amoled you need a specific screen protectors from those that know what they are doing.

This looks a lot like Bodyguardz. I thought about getting Bodyguardz but it doesn't seem to provide any protection against a drop, just scratches.
