from what i've seen prime buys, sells, and trades 'em to keep an assortment of play toys lying about. Basically you sell or trade an old one to cover the cost of your newest toy, once you get 2-3 phones lying around u can usually procure a trade with a few bucks and an old phone thats collecting dust. Or just sell it outright and then you've (mostly) covered the cost of getting that new "must have" toy that caught your eye in the bargain trader forum the other day...
