Question Selling Etiquette Question

I don't know if this is the right place to put this question, maybe I should have put it in General. Can a moderator move it please if needed?

The phone I will soon be selling is the first phone I have ever unlocked and put a custom ROM on. I am going to put it up on eBay and here. First money takes it.

My questions are simple: What is the proper thing or accepted thing to do?

Put the default Verizon ROM on the phone and re-lock it before selling?

Put the default Verizon ROM back on it but leave it unlocked?

Leave it unlocked and leave Energy ROM on it?

Thanks for any polite and useful opinions here!

Re: Selling Etiquette Question

What I've done in the past is flash everything back to the Verizon rom, yet still leave it unlocked so the user can flash without unlocking.

And then I put that its unlocked for flashing in the description (hey, it might get you a bit more money in the end!)

Re: Selling Etiquette Question

Thanks! I am going to wait for a few more opinions to get a feel for what would be right. My opinion was to flash the stock ROM but leave it unlocked, as you have said.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-us; HTC HD2 Build/GRI40) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

Leave it as is here. Then in the ad state that u can flash whatever before sending.

On eBay I'd flash stock and relock. You don't want a refund claim based on faulty ROM.

Just my opinion
