Just because I like to keep everything out in the open, here is an update:

Was sent an Email by Blazin-Asian this morning. He told me that he received the Evo back from the eBay buyer that could not activate the phone.

I was sent 4 pictures of the Evo, which all look good.

Currently waiting till Monday (He stated in the email that he is currently moving) for one more picture (With his screename in the image for verification purposes) and waiting on the ESN number so I can verify that ESN is clean.

So long as I can get provided the image with his screename in it and that the ESN is good, then the deal will be finalized on Friday via either Google Checkout or Paypal (I prefer paypal, but he requested that I use Google Checkout).

Will keep everyone posted on how this is turning out.

everything that Jamio (James) said is correct. i am trying to use Google Checkout because its free and im really trying to avoid ebay/paypal since i am currently fighting with them to get my $75 in sellers fees back. its a HUGE headache right now, but i have offered paypal as an option for the buyer as well.

i have attached images with my user name and rooted 2.2 installed (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=743352)

as per Jamio's request, i have rooted the EVO, but went ahead and installed 2.2 rooted OTA because its WAY better then 2.1 =)

i also could not find the ESN, but provided him with the MEID HEX and DEC.

Ok, now I just need to check with Sprint to make sure I can activate the phone. So as long as that goes according to plan, then I will be paying for said Evo on Friday (13/08/2010).

Will be contacting Sprint tomorrow (was going to do it today, but was already at work by time I got the email with the info).

Will post tomorrow with what Sprint says and then we shall take it from there.

i am curious as well. the idiot buyer couldnt activate it so it shouldnt be a problem.

also, the buyer on ebay has an account here on ppcgeeks too.

im just waiting on Jamio to check the ESN and to get paid on friday. i'll be in Kentwood tomorrow too! =)
