[announced] Android merging Tablet and Handset versions

we've heard rumors about Ice Cream being Android 2.4( http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/smartphone...ml#post2055304 ) , but it looks like Ice Cream is going to be Gingerbread(2.3) and Honeycomb(3.0) mixed together and usable on ANY android device across the board.. (newer devices of course)

today Google CEO Eric Schmidt said that eventually the smartphone version of Android (Gingerbread 2.3) and the tablet version of Android (Honeycomb 3.0) will merge into one Android platform that can run on all devices with the code name starting with the letter "I."
