This is a all new OS and also going to be a data intensive OS. Sprint will use every opportunity to force people to sign up to a ED plan. I have no doubts this will be a ED only phone.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that is not the case, since it is still a winmo OS. That's is the reason I haven't/will not move to the Droid since you have to change plans.

That's the thing, they made it clear when they introduced wp7, it is not wm or will be like wm. This phone will basically take up more data than an average wm phone with things like xbox live integration, the regular social networking (facebook, twitter, etc) and the new search features.

When you look at these features, you cant help but think of how phones like the Instinct and Pre have similar features.

This phone is a perfect phone to yet again force people onto ED plans on top of it being a brand new OS instead it being a upgrade to wm 6.5 (which will still be around as windows classic).

Its almost like hoping that if the iphone comes to Sprint, they wont require you to have a ED plan.

Only time will tell.

It doesnt matter if you dont use those things. Its just a requirement for the phone just like data is a requirement for the iphone whether or not you use it for data purposes.
