Re: HTC 'Supersonic' to ring in WiMAX on Sprint, Android-styl

If HTC make a stupid mistake of putting Android on HD2's body, This will turn into WM phone by users. Only problem is if WM can enable Wimax on Supersonic. Since there is no other Wimax device out yet to get the files and drivers from.

Posibly real or fake. But either way, There is a SuperSonic headed for Sprint.

Re: HTC 'Supersonic' to ring in WiMAX on Sprint, Android-styl

These pics are definitely for real. They are not so fantastic that they wouldn't be. It looks a lot like the HD2 but just different enough to handle Android. I believe what I see, and this is the HTC Supersonic, no doubt.

If you take a look at the caption between the two images on http://androidmobileos.com/?p=338, the informant is now telling the site that the 4.3" screen is AMOLED. If that's the case, "winner-winner chicken dinner!"

I'll admit, I'm not too crazy about what looks to be capacitive buttons at the base -- people seem to be going through hell with the Droid's and Nexus One's control-set. Also, am I noticing different colored circles around those buttons, red around the search, yellow around the home, etc.?

Also, can anyone else see any seams for the back-plate, i.e. removable battery? I don't see anything, as if it's exactly like the iPhone. That doesn't bode well for a WiMAX, 4.3", Snapdragon, gas-guzzling juggernaut. But perhaps the entire back casing pops off. It's possible.

The dual LEDs are sweet as is the speaker.

Fingers-crossed they put 1gb of ROM, 512+mb RAM, Snapdragon, Froyo, Sense 2.0, include a 16GB card (integrated would be better) and at least a 1500mAh battery onboard. Oh, and April would be much appreciated.

Poster said he's gonna post some more better quality pics tomorrow. We'll see. I was hoping for a trackball w/c make Android devices distinctive. But I guess they dissed that. The original Design prolly will change B4 Sprint starts production. Like what they did with the Hero. I really am not diggin the design. But if it's gonna be like that, I won't even complain. 4.3" screen and Amoled will be a bonus.
