Re: HTC 'Supersonic' to ring in WiMAX on Sprint, Android-styl

I want and have been drooling over the HD2 for months now, only to be disappointed with the "exclusive" crap to T-mobile.

I will stick with my lil Touch Pro, til this or something better comes out. The screen size alone gets me....everything else is bonus. FINGERS CROSSED!

i dont have anything against android I'm just used to wm the supersonic to me sounds like a upgraded/glorified t-mobile my-touch. I think im gonna stay on the HD2 bandwagon until i see the supersonic in person.

I'd still much rather have the HD2.
The only advantage I see for the supersonic is Wimax, but let's face it - that's not going to be tangible advantage for a while.

again i dont see anything wrong with android I'm just not impressed by it. Besides I know ppcgeeks is gonna have a lot more extras and add ons for the hd2 than the supersonic but still i'm interested in seeing this thing... when I see it i may change my mind!

Agree about Android, I tired the Nexus One and was impressed by some things very much but in terms of overall functionality it just didn't hold up to Windows. I'm going to keep an eye on it and see if it can become competitive over the next year or so.

My feelings precisely. Android is too simplistic for me. It runs well, but safari does not compare to opera mini 5.2 or skyfire. Hell I can download anything I damn near please to my winmo and with the iPhone or android devices I cannot. As other posters mentioned, I'm waiting on an hd2 like device with seven.

actually if you download "crutch" from the market place it allows you to download all files. There are apps in the marketplace that allow you to do just as much with android as windows. And once rooted you can do almost anything.

well I have eclair android 2.1 running on my SDcard. but you're saying I can go to mediafire, rapidshare, etc? that's sweet then. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to change my background to one of my own pictures.

Re: HTC 'Supersonic' to ring in WiMAX on Sprint, Android-styl

if this drops, it could save me from leaving sprint.

at&t is supposedly extending their frequencies to allow for 3g access on overseas bought phones.. so, sprint better step it up fast.
