i honestlly believe that HTC should make thair own OS based on their Touchflo3d-2 interface with their messaging screens, contact manager, notifications, menus, album, mp3 player etc. etc. they have most of the elements already from trying to replace all WM functions with a better HTCmade version, they should try to make it without havinbg it run on top of WinMo. that should be awesome

Not that it matters much, but after reading all these comments, I think this should be just fine.

I'm not worried about the quality of WM help decreasing (unless people choose to leave, which would be disappointing), and I think that if the other forums can draw the same caliber of experts on those devices as the WM experts that alreayd exist, it will be a good resource for people who may want to look and learn.

And if it does all function as it should, I don't think flamewars and fanboy attacks are something we'll won't have to fear. But at the same time, I sure hope the mods are quick to silence anyone who can't resprect the true nature of a community like this.

The only reason I have my 5th WM device is because of this site, and I sure hope it can thrive even when it changes.

But the site is called ppcgeeks... none of the other popular phones(operating systems) are officially running on a ppc

'change'? should be called the obama quote anytime someone uses that phrase. im thinking im not the only one going with the don't fix it if it ain't broke context. or like you hear when you're playing sports 'where's there an "i" in team?! ' now where's the Iphony or pre in ppc? if they're gonna join us, someone should make sister sites. with maybe a link to them in the forum home page. just my .2 cents

Are the rules for the IRC channel going to change as well? Right now if you mention anything that's not a CDMA phone or a Windows Mobile phone you get banned, since this site is welcoming those of GSM and other Smartphones I don't see why we can't make the IRC channel more friendly.
