I was having the looping issue on my desktop. It's fixed now, although my DNS it's still not working and wmgeeks.com does not seem to be fully linked to the database since I was not able to log in, it kept kicking me to ppcgeeks.com and giving me 404 errors.

Luckily, my router saved the last time I changed my DNS to the ones that were posted on that thread that I can't remember the title for. Even though I was not using them, the option was unchecked, the router kept the numbers. So I checked the option, rebooted the router and also luckily these DNS have already updated.

yea wmgeeks doesnt have the cookies set to that since its merely mirroring ppcgeeks on the new servers. even with opendns server settings its still giving me the old server....this is really starting to tick me off.

wide - I'm still bonked @ home (using wmgeeks right now)

But, I run my own named, I could just put you in...

What's the *correct* IP address for ppcgeeks.com

(should work for anyone's desktop - lmhosts for windows...)

Edit: Nevermind, I just nabbed the wmgeeks.com ip, and used that - working fine now.

You must have had some kinda crazy long TTL on your Domain name.

schettj: lmhosts is for SMB/NetBIOS name to ip bindings they need to put it into the hosts file. in winxp/2000 %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

you are correct just nab the ip from wmgeeks.com.
dont forget to add records for

ppcgeeks.com
www.ppcgeeks.com
wiki.ppcgeeks.com

or you might miss something.
