Need help with flashing

hello, first post here.
well iv'e been reading some of the upgrade threads here and i would really like to flash my omnia with 6.5 but i have never flashed anything before if someone can help with this i would really appreciate it. i also have some questions about the roms such as can you still use all or most of the apps like 6.1? do they crash alot? can you flash back to factory? do i have to buy any software to flash? Any help would be great but just assume that i don't know anything about it when explaining anything, although i do know a little. Oh my omnia already has cf03 on it. Thanks in advance
