Usb storage and playstation 3?

I would like to be able to connect my PS3 to my (i910) Omnia...in theory (because everything works...in theory) this should work. But sadly it doesn't

. I have tried both modes, and the PS3 doesn't detect it. Any idea how I can get this to work? Are there other users here who have both of these devices and can share their experience?
