Android on the Omnia
This is a thread im stealing from another forum but very interesting stuff.
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/0...amsungs-omnia/ Android on the omnia... I personally am very satisfied with winmo but if I happened to have a spare omnia this would be alot of fun I think. Not ever planning on switching even if it did release but cool non-the-less.

Re: Android on the Omnia
ya i booted it up on my i910 and i have to say it is pretty cool probably just cause it's new. I don't know if i would switch or not cause i don't feel like have to buy apps. But one pro over winmo is the ui and everything is way more finger friendly and usable right off the bat.

Re: Android on the Omnia
I was reading some things about how none of the call features and so on are working in android. If the above is true, when we are using android would we not get calls from the winmo side. If android essentially just works like an app than I would run and try it out now.

Re: Android on the Omnia
Ya it wont hurt your winmo it just boots from your sd card. No there is no calls they still have to build all the drivers for things like phone cdma modem, 3g, and all that stuff. but you can boot it up and play around with the os and you just reset or take the battery out. it is pretty cool and i am sure they well get that stuff working sooner or later.
