Question Omnia Backup especially MMS

OK, I've been wanting to upgrade my ROM.

First step backup Omnia.

I used SPB Backup to do this, and I think it backed everything up. I was pretty much able to confirm using the unpack feature, except for MMS. I was unable to confirm/view/browse the MMS files and attachments.

So next I tried Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC), but it seems to only want to backup outlook stuff and not MMS.

Finally, I tried PPC PIMBackup. I selected all options to backup, but it seems to freeze on MMS. I then only selected MMS and does freeze on that.

I found some *.mpb files that I think are the MMS files but am unable to view them to confirm.

I would really like to save my MMS files before upgrading the ROM.

Finally my question...
Does anyone know how to transfer MMS files to PC and then be able to view them on the PC to confirm all is well?

Thanks in advance,
V

BTW, as I've read in some forums, I too am running low on memory and get the 'Critical Memory' warning... could this be an issue with backing up MMS?

UPDATE: I've been told at another forum that I should just send my MMS messages to my email and save the attachments to a directory. I am prepared to do that. However, that seems tedious and was hoping that there was a more efficient approach.

Re: Omnia Backup especially MMS

I use Microsoft My Phone and it works great, and does keep MMS files. The problem I have found, is that restoring MMS after flashing, has sometimes caused messaging to slow down to a crawl and sometimes crash.
