omnia i910 doesn't tell me when i get a text!

I have read on this forum that users of my phone get viberate/sound alerts when they get a txt, but my phone does not alert me when I get one!
Any ideas of why not? I have the notifications for txt messages on....

I just ran into this problem myself over the last few days. I've just begun to search the forums for an answer, so maybe this issue has already been covered. If it hasn't-

What I'm trying to troubleshoot is the fact that after flashing Adrynalyne's 1.7 ROM, and reinstalling the newest version of SPB mobile shell, and the newest S2U2, new text message notifications don't show up. I run S2U2, and they don't show up on there...unlock the phone, texts still don't show up on the home screen...It's not until I literally open the text messaging program that I can see my new texts. I do get a vibrate/alarm tone when a text comes in...???

Everything worked fine running Adrynalyne's 1.3 ROM, the old S2U2, and the old SPB Mobile Shell. The fact that I upgraded all three at once is going to make this a bit of a pain to troublehoot. Anyone else having this issue?

UPDATE:
Tracked the issue down to the new version of SPB Mobile Shell. There's a bunch of chatter about it over on their forums, seems a bunch of people are having this same issue. The working fix is to drop out of SPB Mobile shell to the Windows Mobile today screen, then restart SPB Mobile Shell again. For some reason that seems to fix the issue... Dragonsla, don't know if you're running SPB, hope that helps.
