Changing Roms on Samsung devices

A question to whomever can assist me in this process.. i have a Samsung device(Mondi)http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/m...etail&tab=spec, with similar internals to that of the Omnia 2, Pro and Jet..

I'm looking to develop a Rom for my device, as i understand it, Samsung devices arent "locked-Rom wise" per se.. in the same manner HTC's are.. so is there a universal tool used to dump the Rom's and perhaps cook them.. or does each Sammy device need its own tool as HTC's do?

As far as I know, there is no way to dump the ROM on our phones. We had to wait for a leaked beta ROM before any of our wonderful chefs could do anything. On top of that, Adryn had to alter the kitchen for the i900 to work with our phones. There may be a way with yours, but as far as the Omnia goes, we can not dump the ROM. See if Samsung has released an update for your phone on their website, that's where I would start.
