Zensor...better screen rotation management?
Just ran across this over at Modeco. I haven't used it yet, but I figured it was worth a post over here (maybe a couple chefs may give it a look for their ROMS?)
This is description from the website: "Zensor 2 is an application for automatically rotating your screen using HTC Touch Pro / HTC Touch Diamond's GSensor. Unlike most other applications, Zensor is written to only detect firm moves, skipping moves done by your mobile moving in your pocket or when walking. In order to change orientation, first make sure you keep your HTC phone in a horizontal position (face up) and firmly move it to either landscape or portrait mode, to force a change. In order to make Zensor learn a new application (and whether to rotate it or not), simply move the device firmly from a face up position to an upside down position. This application is free. " It has teach mode so you can teach it in which apps to rotate, and which not to rotate. Excellent!!! Found here: http://www.endorser.org/wm/zensor Thanks go to a.s.t.e.k. for posting it at Modeco: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?s=&s...post&p=1062835 |
This post has been thanked 1 times. |

Re: Zensor...better screen rotation management?
The 'learning' mode looks pretty simple to use, I will be trying it out later (after work) and post any results I find.

Re: Zensor...better screen rotation management?
Does it work with our phones? Not sure if it used the Samsung SDK or not.

Re: Zensor...better screen rotation management?
I just installed it and it isn't running, so I guess we do need the HTC .dll's. I know I saw them somewhere for another app (a game I think). I'll see if I can find them again (I could have sworn they were cooked into a ROM or two I saw in here).

Re: Zensor...better screen rotation management?
Yea the HTC dlls let you use apps that were written to use the HTC g-sensor. The auto-rotation of the omnia does not, as BW pionted out.
