Good News!!! Success in tethering phone to wireless rounter and ps3!!!

Finally, I was able to use my omnias internet to connect to my wireless broadband router and it works so smooth and fast!. I was able to tehter my phone via usb, bluetooth and wifi. Let me tell you that usb is the most stable connection. I was able to connect my omnia to my ps3 with wired cable connection. I played for about 30mins and the connection did not break at all. The connection was so smooth at it seemed like it was connected to broadband. Wifi worked but not stable, it connects and it disconnects too much and I just decided to give it a last try with usb and it works. After looking and searching through forums and search engine I was not able to get any clear steps on how to do it, but only hints. after a few days of trying I fanally got it to work. Who new, that today was gonna be my lucky day, hahahaha. you guys and girls should give it a try!!!!



Ps. I looked on this forum and there is not thread about this awsome finding!! there is something about connecting to xbox360 but it only takes you to different forums and you get clueless...

I too would be interested in the details on the usb connection with the ps3 using the omnia. I plan on getting it working with wmwifirouter when i pick up the slim, but not so sure about usb

I don't think omnia will be able to connect directly to the ps3, I have tried and no succes, even the ps3 will not recognize the phone!!. Sorry if not being clear enough, but I'm using my computer(laptop) as a gateway to distribute internet to other devices....

yeah, being clear on that would have saved a lot of people those few seconds they lost reading this post. If you'd search the net correctly, you'd easily find that you cannot use the omnia to get internet to the PS3 with out using another computer to share its internet connection via the omnia. Nice try!
