Email keeps popping up (Adrynalyne 3.0 Base ROM)

Since installing Adrynalyne wm6.5 3.0 Base ROM (which I love BTW), everytime my Omnia checks for email the email application pops up which is especially annoying if I am doing something else at the time. I've had to set it to "manual" to avoid having this happen. Note: I'm not talking about the email message notifications, but the email program opening and appearing in the foreground.

Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?
