Email keeps popping up (Adrynalyne 3.0 Base ROM)

Since installing Adrynalyne wm6.5 3.0 Base ROM (which I love BTW), everytime my Omnia checks for email the email application pops up which is especially annoying if I am doing something else at the time. I've had to set it to "manual" to avoid having this happen. Note: I'm not talking about the email message notifications, but the email program opening and appearing in the foreground.

Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

Go to settings/sounds and notifications go to the second tab and from the drop down menu go to Messaging: New email messaging, and uncheck 'Display message on screen'

Actually, as I said the OP, I'm not talking about email notifications popping up - I've turned that off already and they are not coming up.

What does pop up is the email application (pocket outlook) and it pops up even if there are no new emails. I have it set to check email every 15 minutes and every 15 minutes the application launches by itself and comes to the foreground no matter what I'm doing on the phone at the time. It's very annoying.

I have the same problem and posted a thread about it which said the problem was wakeuponsms but that wasn't it, and it never got any farther than that. Hopefully this thread will provide a real answer to the problem.

I set my emails to check every 2 hours but its still annoying sometimes.
I think it was happening on other roms too not just adrynalyne. might be related to build #.

I dont exactly get this, but what I find is that the bottom toolbar for pocket outlook will randomly appear on top instead of the whole window drawing on top.

I reflashed with Base 2.0 which did not help but in the process I discovered that if you check the box under Email options to show the account picker the email program doesn't pop up. It means two touches to get to your emails but at least I can have it check emails automatically again.

I have always had that box checked (I actually didn't realize it was there until you mentioned it) so no change. Maybe because you're on the new CF03 rom, you might be running a newer build of Windows that doesn't have that bug. Who knows.

This is also happening to me on Vanilla 3.0.
