Question Hey, is it just me... or has this happened to you, too?

Greetings.

Here I am, working away... using my Samsung Omnia i910 just as lucky as you please... checking my email, making a few phone calls and looking up a... a... damn. I WAS going to use iContacts to check an address, but I can't seem to... get the phone to respond to any button push or screen tap. I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. The last thing I did was attempt to delete a duplicate listing of a contact (through iContacts). Even after a reboot, it's still there in the main directory.

Double Damn... And, the freekin' phone needs to be rebooted, yet AGAIN... as it's locked-up!

What's more, once it's rebooted and loaded, I'm noticing that settings previously "set" are no longer... for example the Batti bar at the top of the screen - that once was a solid green line (Bluish-purple when plugged in) is now just a series of thin gray dashes, and if I tap on START - I notice I'm back to Titanium's HEX version of Programs, rather than the desired Large Buttons... AND the "phuquing" think is locked-up- AGAIN...!! As my kids text, "WTF...?!?"

Anyone have this happen to them....??? What is causing this?

I'm running the latest version of the WinMobile 6.5/C03... and am completely floored.

Any suggestions...??

While it may not just be you, I've had a similar experience like that on a custom ROM when loading IContact....after load it would not let me access Settings; triggered soft reset.....I isolated it to iContact by tryin stuff after each installation.
I downloaded what I THINK was a newer IContact ver & it got better.

SInce then I switched to BlazingWolf's MS3....rock solid (course, you have to be a Mobile Shell user $$)....though other BW Roms don't require MS and they're lauded as excellent as well.

Damn shame, good luck.

I used to have a ton of issues w/ IContact, thought it was just me being an idiot... I'm on BW's Neo v1.4 and have no problems at all.

Re: Hey, is it just me... or has this happened to you, too?

I should mention that I HAD been using iContact 0.94... but, soon found that the bottom buttons stopped responding. Then the device would lock-up. I contacted Doug, the gentleman who created the program, and he suggested I try the 0.91 version, as it was less reactive to the HTC Emulation (or just didn't have that feature as part of the program, I regret that I don't recall which). Didn't really matter, as I hadn't used it. Still, I have been forced to depress the two bottom front buttons as I used the stylus to hit the reset button... and format the device (same as Hard Reset). Since the device had frozen, that was the only way to do so. I really DON'T NEED a contacts program... the resident program isn't bad... just not quite as finger friendly. I have used PocketCM... perhaps I'll give that one a try (heavy sigh, as I did like iContact, as it offered JUST what we NEEDED...!
