Re: Connecting to Xbox 360(Part 2)
I have the WMWIFI set up and using that as a wireless router, but you would have to get the $99 wireless adapter for the 360, and even then, it SHOULD work...
As for a straight connection, all of the how-to's that I looked at involved the Ethernet cable, and a laptop. I don't see how that would work with the Omnia using USB. I don't have broadband at home and I am still waiting on Verizon to convert my tower from Alltel's crappy 1X to EDVO, so I might be trying this out just to see if it works. The problem that I see with this idea is the 5 GB limit. I see busting that in no time if it does work. |

Re: Connecting to Xbox 360(Part 2)
Check out this thread, it is what I used to get WiFi going in my house using the Omnia.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=57352 It (the wifi hotspot) works for me just fine. I don't have a EDVO tower to pull 3G at home. I need to get the wireless adapter and test this out on campus where I do pull 3G. Anyway, I am still waiting for a used wireless adapter to show up at gamespot. |

Re: Connecting to Xbox 360(Part 2)
I messed around with this a little last night...didn't get to fire it up on the Xbox, but I was able to get all of my devices to be able to connect to it, it issues IP addresses, so in theory it should work with an Xbox. I sould be able to test that aspect tonight. Won't be able to do much more after tonight since the wife since the moose...I mean Dog, she just bought arrives tomorrow. I'm doomed. Either way, it should be able to work.
