Pre-Flash questions+Confirmation

So i'm looking into flashing to 6.5 and using Cooked ROMs. I pretty much know how and what i want to do, but i have a few questions.
Please correct me if i'm wrong, but CF03 is the new ROM that Samsung put out, while CC20 was the original ROM on the Omnia?
Now, i have flashed before, and it went very smoothly to be honest. I flashed from the stock ROM(CC20?) to the leaked Verizon ROM with the GPS unlocked. What is this ROM i'm on now called? Is it pretty much the same as the new CF03 ROM? Would i still need to flash to the official ROM to upgrade to 6.5?
Also, what would the best (Or easiest?) way to save Settings(Maybe?), Contacts, Favorites, Program files, Program settings, ect, ect? Is this possible? Or would i have to redo everything Post-Flash? I've heard of Sashimi, would that help at all?
Lets say i flash to 6.5, could i import all my contacts and information from 6.1 relativity easy? Is it compatible? What about programs?

CC20 is the beta ROM that was leaked. It is not the original ROM. If you want to flash to any of the current ROMs, you'll need to do the update from Verizon/Samsung (the CF03 ROM). Most if not all of the current custom ROM's are based off of CF03. Once you update your phone to the official (CF03) ROM, you can flash to your hearts desire with a custom ROM. Doing a flash is the same as a hard reset in that everything gets cleared. I would use MS My Phone to backup your contacts, emails, and other info first. You will have to reinstall all of the third party applications. Sashimi will automatically reinstall, apply settings changes, and reg hacks but I wouldn't set it up just yet until you get comfy with 6.5. Google PPCPimBackup, it will also backup all of your contacts to your storage card or My Storage if you don't have a card. cf03 is the authorized samsung rom, cc20 was not the original stock but a leaked rom

if i'm understanding you correctly when you say "flashed to leaked rom" you flashed to cc20, then the rom you're on now is cc20. If you hadn't flashed until the official samsung update came out, you're probably on cf03. no you can start flashing 6.5 roms to cc20 or flash the official cf03 then flash 6.5 roms. There are roms for both the cc20 and cf03

there are other backup progs like resco, but that's inviting instability, sashimi is the way to go, pick and choose what you want backed up and it automates cab installs

either sync with outlook or use myphone
