Exclamation End Key stopped working properly!!!

I am using Adrynalyne's M2D Rom (I think Vanilla)...
Everything has been working find for about a week since I flashed the phone, but now my end key isn't doing everything it's supposed to do.
I USED TO be able to hit the end key to "minimize" (or close, or whatever it's called... Not actually exit the program though) a program/window that I had open. (ie, if I had the dialer open I could hit the End key and it would "minimize" the dialer and take me back to M2d...)
But now it doesn't do that when I press it... The only things it seems to do now are: 1. End a call 2. Turn the screen back on when it is off.
Something happened to where it doesn't affect programs/windows anymore!

This started happening last night when: I was on a call and once I was done with the call my phone froze up. I couldn't use the end key to close the call screen and couldn't even use the power button to soft reset. It was unresponsive. So I ended up having to remove/replace the battery to get it back up and running. Ever since then my end key hasn't worked.
I don't have anything special (like AEButton) installed for key manipulation.

Anybody have any ideas? Registry setting or something? I hope to resolve this without having to reflash/hard reset!

Thank you in advance
