To people having slow texting issues

Been a flash addict for a couple weeks now.

I've noticed on a couple other roms featuring FTouchSL that texting takes a little longer than it did on the 6.1 roms. I went into the FTouchSL settings and lowered the delay time to 0ms from 100ms, and that solved my problem with the texting delay.

Just a tip to try I suppose.

Delete the copious amounts of text messages in your inbox.

Why is that an issue in 6.5 and not 6.1? I notice it happening a lot in 6.5, even with maybe 4 threaded texts from people, maybe 15 - 20 messages total in those threads.

Re: To people having slow texting issues

I dont have a problem in WM 6.5 as im talking to you on my Omnia i have about 6 threads and 3 of them have over 50 messages in them and im still typing like a mad man!
I send/recive about 200-300 texts a day and clear out every other day and all is good!

I had the same problem switching between cc20_6.1m2d and cf03_6.5van. Only thing that worked was clearing out my texts as described by adryn and boo.

Re: To people having slow texting issues

I would recommend NOT backing up text messages after a Flash or HR, I did that in the past and had the same problems.

+1

Don't back them up when you back up your PIM data and don't restore them after a flash/HR. Doing so will fix almost 99% of the lockup problems people are describing in this forum

If you're totally anal and absolutely NEED to keep a copy of them for your own purposes, back them up to Microsoft My Phone (pre-installed on most cooked ROMs) before you flash/HR. Just be sure to not restore them
